 Butere Girls High School is one of the prestigious national schools in the country with an excellent performance history. Located in Marima, Butere, Kakamega county, the institution is one of the oldest in Western Province and was founded in 1957 by the Church Missionary Society (C.M.S) as part of their missionary work in Northern Kavirondo.
