Getting started with KUCCPS: How to check your course and University or College placement

The KUCCPS online webpage provides information about the course and university or college where you were placed following the second review. Applicants are required to log into the KUCCPS website to get to know the university or college one has been placed.

This article provides you with step by step process of checking your college and university placement using the KUCCPS online platform.

The good news is that you can check for the institution you have been placed in either through the KUCCPS online platform or via SMS

After the revisions, the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) completed the process of placing individuals who had applied for various courses.

KUCCPS: How to Check Course and University or College admitted to online

To view the placing results online;

  • Visit the official KUCCPS student portal: http://students.kuccps.net/
  • Login with your details as follows;
  • Username: (Use your full Index Number)
  • Year: (eg 2019)
  • Password: (Use your Birth Certificate Number)

After login, you should see the university that you have been placed as shown in the image below

How to Use an SMS Code to Check University or College Placement

Using an SMS code, you can check your university placement results.

  • Go to your phone’s Messages app and select Text Messages.
  • Text your index number to the number 20842.
  • The placement results will be sent to you shortly.
  • The SMS will cost you Ksh. 20.

 

The short SMS method applies to both Safaricom, Airtel and Telkom networks with the SMS charges being capped at Sh.20.

Upon successful placement in a given college or University, you can download your calling/ admission letter directly through the online platform

Some learning institutions will send you the admission letter. However universities such as Moi University, University of Nairobi, Kenyatta University, and Maseno University, do not issue admission letters through the mail. All you have to do now is go online and download them.
