  Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has ignited a political firestorm after accusing President William Ruto of establishing a secret police death squad targeting innocent Kenyans. While addressing worshippers at a church service in Kirinyaga County, Gachagua alleged that the covert unit comprises 101 specially trained officers tasked with carrying out abductions, torture, assassinations, and elaborate cover-ups.
