  Kikuyu elders from Kiama Kia Ma group were swiftly summoned on Monday May 26, 2025, to provide guidance after a sacred Mugumo (fig) tree branch fell, damaging several curio shops in Nyahururu town, Laikipia County. Muthamaki Dominic Ng’era stated that the elders rushed to the scene because the Mugumo tree holds sacred significance in Kikuyu
