  The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has revealed that it needs Ksh.61.7 billion to conduct the 2027 general election, surpassing the last polls by over Ksh17 Billion. Kenya’s 2022 elections cost Ksh.44.6 billion, making them among the most expensive in the world.   Kenya plans to repurchase a $900 million (Ksh.116.7 billion) seven-year tranche of the $2.1 billion (Ksh.271.76 billion) Eurobond issued in May 2019.
