Safaricom hasn’t paid me the Ksh 4.5 million they owe -Bamboo

  In 2023, the High Court awarded rapper Bamboo Ksh4.5 million in a copyright infringement case against Safaricom and two premium rate service providers (PRSPs). The court found that Safaricom had used three of Bamboo’s songs—’Mama Africa’ (2005), ‘Yes Indeed’ (2005), and ‘Move On’ (2012)—on its Skiza Tune platform without his authorization.
